Become a S.T.A.R. Volunteer!

The Morton Grove Public Library’s Youth Services Department needs student volunteers, grades seven through twelve, to help with our Summer Reading Program. The Summer Reading Program begins Monday, June 9th, and ends on Sunday, August 3rd.

Responsibilities include helping with children’s games, listening to children talk about books they read, handing out prizes, and clerical duties.

Volunteering at the Library is an excellent opportunity to fulfill community service credit for your college applications, National Honor Society, or confirmation requirements.

Interested teens with more questions can contact Liz Kaiz at the Morton Grove Public Library by phone (847-929-5124) or email (lkaiz@webrary.org).

Training sessions for S.T.A.R. (Summer Time Assistant for Readers) volunteers will be held at the Morton Grove Public Library on Tuesday, May 27, 6:00- 7:30pm and Wednesday, June 4, 6:00-7:30pm.
Please call 847-929-5101 to register
for one of the training sessions.
