August Teen Programs

It's not time to head back to school YET! Have more fun this summer at these teen programs. All teens in 7th grade and up are invited. Bring your friends! Some of the programs require registration.

Teen Drawing/Writing Club
Wed. August 4th, 5-6 pm, Youth Services Activity Room
Do you like to write or draw? Come to the library for an informal club meeting where you can share ideas and tips, or just talk to other writers or artists.

Teen Tech Workshop: Photo Fun
Mon. August 9th, 7-8 pm, Estelle Cooperman Board Room
Learn about fun websites you can use to alter digital photos and create cool new pictures to amaze your friends and family! Registration is limited to 6. Morton Grove residents have priority. Registration is open NOW!

Tunes for Teens
Thurs. August 12th, 7-8 pm, Youth Services Activity Room
Hang out with other teens, play music-related games, and listen to your favorite songs at the Library! Bring CDs, your mp3 player, or the titles of your favorite songs (clean lyrics only) that fit this month's theme - songs about summer.

R.E.A.D.: Read, Eat, and Discuss
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Wed. August 18th, 7-8 pm, Baxter Room Auditorium
Join us for a book discussion just for teens! Food and drinks will be provided. Registration is required. Registration is open NOW! We'll have a drawing for prizes - book copies of ALL of the books in the trilogy!

DIY Crafts: Paper Weaving
Sat. August 21st, 1-2 pm, Youth Services Activity Room
Come to the Library and learn how to weave paper to make chains for bracelets! Bring your friends! Instructions and supplies are provided. Registration is required. Registration opens August 7th!

Gettin' Saucy Teen Cooking Class
Mon. August 23rd, 6-7 pm
Learn to prepare delicious food! Supplies and instructions provided. Registration required. Registration is limited to 8 and opens August 9th!
